E-Z Pickles

Pickles. They can be sweet, sour, spicy. And they don't have to be made out of cucumbers. Eating pickles is fun, but making them can be fun as well. I have always thought that making the pickling brine is hard, and you don't always get the flavor you want. So, the other day(while munching on pickles) I had a sudden inspiration. Why not reuse the brine from the store-bought pickles? You can have a brine that makes great tasting pickles, without having to make it yourself. I poked around in the fridge, but couldn't find any cucumbers. So I picked turnips. Here's how you do it:

  • 1(or more) pickle jar(s) with the brine
  • 1 large vegetable of your choice(cucumber, turnip, ect., ect.)
Wash the cucumber, and cut it into thin slices. The thinner the slices, the faster they will pickle. Put the slices in pickle jar and screw on the lid. Refrigerate for a week(or longer).
